Seattle Symphony
Under the leadership of Music Director Xian Zhang, the Seattle Symphony unleashes the power of music, brings people together and lifts the human spirit. Recognized as one of the “most vital American orchestras” (NPR), the Seattle Symphony is internationally acclaimed for its inventive programming, community-minded initiatives and superb recordings on the Seattle Symphony Media label. With a strong commitment to new music and a legacy of over 150 recordings, the orchestra has won five Grammy Awards, 27 Grammy nominations, two Emmy Awards and was named Gramophone’s 2018 Orchestra of the Year. The Symphony performs in Benaroya Hall in the heart of downtown Seattle from September through July, reaching over 750,000 people annually through live performances and radio broadcasts.
Above the Record
Above The Record is a rapidly growing Pacific Northwest music and entertainment company that develops artists, produces live events, and offers music business education. Our mission is to create more jobs in music and entertainment, and by 2026, we aim to become a full-service label providing the infrastructure and partnerships artists need to succeed globally.
Washington State Department of Commerce
Commerce strengthens communities and builds healthy economies. The Creative Economy is one of eight key industries in Washington State - industries we dedicate additional resources to, largely because they have the most potential for creating economic wealth and job growth throughout the state in the years to come.
